|  Né en 1929 dans la ville de Guangzhou province chinoise de Guangdong. On le décrit souvent comme artiste chinois, mais il a quitté la Chine à l'âge de sept ans après la mort subite de ses partents. Il a été envoyé vivre dans la communauté chinoise à Saigon au Vietnam.
